Support On Specific Outcomes
The PSPPD has provided some support around the content of the 12 Outcomes, particularly for rural development, including:
- Funding of a preparatory document on small-scale farming, developed by PLAAS;
- Review and detailed commentary on the Green Paper on Rural Development and Land Reform;
- Facilitating the development of the first version of the rural delivery agreement, with the MLF team leader acting as interim rural outcomes facilitator for three months;
- Delivery of a paper at the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform’s conference with India and China on rural development on “Applying sustainable livelihood approaches to improve rural people's quality of life”;
- Development of a preparatory paper on youth unemployment by Justine Burns of the University of Cape Town.
