With an increased focus on systematically monitoring and evaluating its service delivery and policy implementation, the Presidency has created the Department of Performance Monitoring & Evaluation (DPME) to fulfil this strategic and oversight role.
The
outcomes-based approach put forward by the DPME is encompassed in the specific measurable focus areas, known as
the 12 Outcomes, which the Presidency has developed.
In line with this, the PSPPD is encouraging its research grantees and the academic community in general to respond meaningfully to questions around these Outcomes and their linked indicators.
